Resuming the sistering meetings / Retomando las reuniones de hermanamiento

The sistering meetings resumed today. Some attended virtually. The new PROGRESO representative had to leave the meeting before presenting his report; but the rest of the regions shared the following:

 

UCRES

Felicia:

The psychosocial care processes have already started in some communities. We do it in partnership with ACISAM. People say that it is very important to know that there are organizations aware of the importance of providing this attention. 10 to 15 people attend, with social distance

The assembly of scholarship recipients was held in the El Verdío community.

This day we will accompany the Las Araditas community in commemorating the murder of 4 community leaders. There will only be a community discussion and mass, to avoid crowds. It will end with a dinner of pupusas. Organizations that have always been supporting the theme of historical memory have been invited. It won’t be big, but it will be significant.

This day seedlings are being delivered for 107 family gardens. That’s thanks to the SHARE Foundation.

We will carry on with the Escuela Padre Rutilio Grande, the popular school of political economy. We are doing it with young scholarship recipients and from other communities. It is important to give proper guidance to young people so that they can replicate the information in their communities. There will be 3 days at the institution. The young participants are very active young people who were unaware of the subject, but are now highly involved.

 

CCR

Rubia:

We delivered hygiene kits to 50 ADESCOS (Community boards) for meetings. The communities are happy for this support because it is very necessary to resume meetings while taking care of their health.

Each year we continue with the MPR12 political schools and those developed by the CCR. From region 1 to 5. We are going to develop approximately 26 workshops in 6 territorial schools. It is a great goal to complete them this year, because we want people to know the truth about how the current government is ruling.

Last year and this year, we invited young people to get to learn about our reality, and people who are already aware to have an exchange.

We are holding community assemblies to talk about COVID 19 and the importance of carrying on with the community organization.

This Sunday a Youth Association was created in Teosinte. We still have to take the bylaws to the Official Gazette.

We are still promoting healthy nutrition and agriculture among women.

 

ARDM (Cinquera)

Ivan:

We are seeing how to resume the tourism initiatives we have. Employees have returned to take actions.

With the scholarship recipients, we have specific actions, following the protocols; for example, cleaning days in the village and in the forest. A community health brigade has been created that makes home visits to the elderly. The government has scared many people and many here suffer from trauma. This brigade is made up of young scholarship students who are studying to become doctors. They are making an assessment to see how adults are doing. It is a way to reach the people who have been most abandoned, since at the time the government ordered that people with symptoms of COVID were prioritized, leaving aside the rest of the patients.

We have been doing cleaning days in the forest pool to be ready to receive tourists, because, due to the storms, it was full of sand, stones and branches.

 

CRIPDES SUR

Zulma H:

In Chilama, assemblies have been held normally. They received masks and alcohol gel. Unfortunately, the communities are not using the masks.

Yesterday there was an assembly in the community and it was commented that there have been several cases of suicide in the communities.

A representative of Nuevas Ideas attended the community assembly, but he was questioned about the lack of government support for the community and left displeased.

In El Charcón, 45 families received beams and material to rebuild their houses. In addition, the mayor’s office will support the repair of the bridge. This thanks to the advocacy work and pressure of the community board towards the municipality.

There are conversations with USESSC (Sister Cities) about repairing the communal house.

The high school students are supporting the work of the CRIPDES team.

5 high school scholarship recipients will graduate. In October they will receive information on the graduation process.

The 1st political school was held. The people who participated were very active. Only 2 young university students participated. Only 3 days will be developed.

The ADESCOS and the women’s networks continue being monitored.

 

San Vicente

Lurvi:

This day the political school will start, where the leadership of the communities is recognized and guided.

On September 25, the first face-to-face assembly of scholarship recipients was held. The group talked about the challenges they face studying online.

Communities are being monitored. Tecoluca has been quite affected by COVID. In coastal communities there have been fewer cases.

Sistered communities. In Guajoyo, the construction of latrines has been completed. In Las Anonas, the leadership school has resumed. The third session was held, focused on “SPEAKING”. Leaders asked us to have more of these.

At the regional level, mobilizations have been supported. One, with the veterans and another, to tackle the sugarcane issue.

Due to storms, many communities lost their crops: vegetables and fruits. And they have not been supported by the government because the cultivation of beans and corn is prioritized.

 

 

 

 

El día de hoy se retomó la reunión de hermanamientos. Algunas lo hicieron de manera virtual. El nuevo representante de PROGRESO tuvo que dejar la reunión antes de presentar su reporte; pero el resto de las regiones compartió lo siguiente:

UCRES 

Felicia:

Los procesos de atención psicosocial ya se empezaron en algunas comunidades. Lo llevamos desde ACISAM. La gente dice que es muy importante saber que hay organizaciones que están viendo la importancia de dar esta atención. 10 a 15 personas asisten, con distancia social

Se desarrolló la asamblea de becados en la comunidad el Verdío.  

Este día acompañaremos a la comunidad Las Araditas en la conmemoración del asesinato de los 4 líderes comunitarios. Solamente se hará un conversatorio comunitario y una misa, para evitar aglomeraciones. Se finalizara con una cena de pupusas. Se ha hecho la invitación a las organizaciones que siempre han estado apoyando el tema de memoria histórica. No será grande, pero sí significativa. 

Este día se está entregando plantines para 107 huertos de familias. Eso es gracias a la Fundación SHARE. 

Tenemos el proceso de Escuela Padre Rutilio Grande, la escuela popular de economía política. Lo estamos haciendo con jóvenes becados y de otras comunidades. Es importante dar la escuela a los jóvenes para que repliquen la información en sus comunidades. Se harán 3 jornadas en la institución. Los jóvenes participantes son jóvenes muy activos que desconocían del tema, pero ahora están bien involucradas.

 

CCR 

Rubia:

Hicimos entrega de kits de higiene a 50 ADESCOS para reuniones comunitarias. Las comunidades están contentas por ese apoyo porque es muy necesaria para retomar las reuniones y cuidar la salud de todas las personas. 

Cada año continuamos las escuelas del MPR12 y las que desarrolla la CCR. Desde la región 1 hasta la 5. Vamos a desarrollar aproximadamente 26 jornadas en 6 escuelas territoriales. Es una gran meta terminarlas este año, porque nos interesa que la gente sepa la verdad de cómo está gobernando el actual gobierno.  

El año pasado y este año, invitamos a jóvenes para que conozcan la realidad, y gente que ya conoce para hacer un intercambio. 

Estamos realizando asambleas comunitarias sobre covid19 y la importancia de seguir la organización comunitaria.  

Este domingo fue la asamblea de constitución de la Asociación de jóvenes en Teosinte, solo falta ir a dejar los estatutos al Diario Oficial.   

En el tema de mujeres se sigue trabajando el tema de comer sano y agricultura. 

 

ARDM (Cinquera) 

Ivan:

Estamos viendo como le damos mantenimiento a las iniciativas turísticas que tenemos. Los empleados se han incorporado nuevamente para ir haciendo acciones.  

Con los becados tenemos acciones puntuales, siguiendo los protocolos; por ejemplo, jornadas de limpieza en el pueblo y en el bosque. Se ha creado una brigada comunitaria de salud que hace visitas domiciliares a las personas de la 3ra edad. El gobierno ha metido mucho miedo, y aquí hay muchas personas con trauma psicológico. Esta brigada está formada por jóvenes becadas que están estudiando en el área de medicina. Ellas están levantando un diagnóstico para ver cómo están las personas adultas. Es una forma de tener un acercamiento con las personas que han estado más abandonadas, ya que en su momento el gobierno ordenó que se priorizara a las personas que tuvieran síntomas de COVID dejando de lado al resto de pacientes. 

Hemos estado haciendo jornadas de limpieza en la poza para estar listo para recibir a turistas, porque, por las tormentas, se quedó con arena, piedras y ramas. 

 

SUR 

Zulma H:

En Chilama se han realizado asambleas normalmente. Se les dotó de mascarillas y alcohol gel. Lastimosamente en las comunidades no están utilizando las mascarillas.  

Ayer hubo una asamblea en la comunidad y se comentó que se han dado varios casos de suicidio en las comunidades. 

Un representante de Nuevas Ideas llegó a la asamblea de la comunidad, pero fue cuestionado por la falta de apoyo del gobierno a la comunidad y se fue disgustado. 

En El Charcón, 45 familias recibieron costaneras y material para reconstruir sus casas. Además la alcaldía va a apoyar la reparación del puente. Esto gracias a la incidencia y presión de la JD hacia la municipalidad.  

Con USESSC (Ciudades Hermanas) se está gestionando la reparación de la casa comunal. 

Los jóvenes becados de bachillerato están apoyando en el trabajo del equipo de CRIPDES.

5 bachilleres se graduaran. En octubre les darán información del proceso de graduación. 

Se tuvo la 1ra escuela política. Las personas que participaron fueron muy activas. Solo participaron 2 jóvenes becados de universidad. Se desarrollaran solo 3 jornadas. 

Se sigue dando seguimiento a las ADESCOS y al tema de redes de mujeres.  

 

San Vicente 

Lurvi:

Este día se iniciará la escuelita, donde se va reconociendo y guiando al liderazgo de las comunidades. 

El 25 de septiembre se tuvo la primera asamblea presencial de becas. El grupo manifestó sus retos y dificultades con el estudio en línea. 

Se está dando seguimiento a las comunidades. Tecoluca ha sido bastante afectado por el COVID. En las comunidades costeras ha habido menos casos. 

En las comunidades hermanizadas. En Guajoyo se ha terminado la construcción de letrinas. En Las Anonas, se ha reiniciado la escuela de liderazgo. Se tuvo la tercera sesión, enfocada en “ORATORIA”. El liderazgo pide que no solo sean estas, que se hagan más. 

A nivel regional se han apoyado movilizaciones. Una, con los veteranos y otra, con el tema de caña de azúcar. 

Por tormentas, muchas comunidades perdieron sus cultivos: verduras y frutas. Y no han sido apoyadas por el gobierno porque se prioriza al cultivo de fríjol y maíz.
