ORGANIZING

OBJECTIVE:

To encourage intentionality at all levels (current committees, current national members, new national members, new partner organizations) to organize new people, and groups into our work focused on migration.

Our goals

At least two statements published by USESSC are accompanied by calls to concrete actions in the U.S. organized or accompanied by representatives of the network.

USESSC committees have organized two local events around migration issue: 1) having a guest speaker from the TPS committee; 2) follow up event with participants so they know more about USESSC at national level and how they can get involved.

USESSC sponsors a formal research of the number of people that have migrated from the rural communities where CRIPDES work to publish in 2022, putting an emphasis on the role of climate change as a driver of migration/internal displacement.

Meetings are held with the Working Groups to ensure they understand how they fit in this plan and how they can support it.

An event is organized in a centric area of the US with a main speaker from the TPS alliance to share what the movement needs now from U.S. citizens and also to communicate the new efforts of USESSC.

More people become part of the board of USESSC understanding their role and responsibilities with this plan.
