2020 Scholarship recipients / Becarias y becarios de 2020 en San Vicente

Today, a new group of young people signed an agreement with the scholarship program of CRIPDES San Vicente. These young folks were chosen by the community boards to receive a partial scholarship that will help them to finish their high school, this is specially important this year when the school packages are provided partially by the government or, in some cases, they include a coupon to purchase the remaining materials in a store with 10% of discount.

 

These scholarships are funded by the Austin and Philadelphia committees.

There are 12 new participants in the program: Bryan Portillo, Stephanie Cruz, Jose Arteaga, Daniel Aguillon, Kateryn Escobar, Anderson Sánchez, Melvin Ponce, Ernesto Ortiz, María Rivas and other three still to be determined, two from the volcano area and another from Guajoyo.

 

Current beneficiaries from Guajoyo are: Julia Ramos, Reyna González, Xenia Ramos and Isaac Ramos.

The participants from Las Anonas are: Melvin Ponce and David Díaz.

Ten young people from the group will be on their senior year this 2020 and expect to graduate.

 

If you want to support youth from this or another of the CRIPDES region, please consider making a donation or becoming a sustainer. No matter how small the amount is, we can all create a bigger fund. You can clearly state that you want to donate for that specific purpose.

Sadly this year we no longer have resources to support scholarships through the CCR in Chalatenango.

 

 

 

Hoy se realizó la firma de convenio con un nuevo grupo de jóvenes en San Vicente. Estas personas fueron seleccionadas por las juntas directivas de las comunidades para recibir una beca parcial que les ayude a realizar sus estudios de bachillerato, especialmente en este año en que los paquetes escolares en muchos casos solo se han entregado parcialmente o les incluyen un vale para comprar los materiales faltantes en una tienda con 10% de descuento.

Estas becas se otorgan gracias al apoyo de los comités de Austin y Filadelfia.

Este año hay doce integrantes nuevos en el programa: Bryan Portillo, Stephanie Cruz, Jose Arteaga, Daniel Aguillon, Kateryn Escobar, Anderson Sánchez, Melvin Ponce, Ernesto Ortiz, María Rivas y otros tres aún por determinarse, dos de la zona del volcán y uno de Guajoyo.

Los jóvenes beneficiarios de Las Anonas son: Melvin Ponce y David Díaz.

Diez integrantes de todo el grupo empiezan su tercer año este 2020 y están alistándose para graduarse como bachilleres.

 

Si usted desea apoyar a la juventud de esta u otra de las regiones de CRIPDES, por favor considere hacer una donación o varias. Por muy pequeño que sea el monto, será de ayuda para que el fondo crezca. Usted puede dejar claro que su donación vaya a dicho rubro.

Lastimosamente, este año ya no tenemos recursos para apoyar becas a través de la región de CCR Chalatenango.
