A third update / un tercer reporte

Our friends continue their hard work during our tour. Yesterday, at Western Connecticut State University they met with both students and a team of teachers, who showed interest in the popular education schools that we were developing before the pandemic hit.
In both classes, the groups wanted to discuss the loss of the fragile democracy in El Salvador and the most frequent question was if there is fear of another civil war in this country. In addition, the groups compared the situation in terms of the control of the three powers of the State during the Trump administration.
The group of teachers showed special interest in the actions of the Salvadoran social movement. We will keep reporting! Stay tuned.
Nuestras amigas continúan su gira. El día de ayer en la universidad de Western Connecticut se reunieron tanto con alumnado como con equipo de maestras y maestros, que mostraron interés en las escuelas de educación popular que estábamos desarrollando hasta antes de la pandemia.
En las dos clases se habló de la pérdida de la frágil democracia en El Salvador y la pregunta más frecuente en ambas ocasiones fue si existe temor de otra guerra civil. Además los grupos compararon la situación en términos del control de los tres poderes del Estado durante la presidencia de Trump.
El grupo de maestras y maestros mostró interés especial en las acciones del movimiento social salvadoreño. Seguiremos reportando los avances de educación de las compañeras. ¡Manténganse en sintonía!
