Sister Cities through the years

A while ago our network used to have 32 committees. This year we only have 16 left. Committees are aging and our model of solidarity is hard to explain to a wider audience when our country is no longer “in poverty” or when it suddenly becomes a “third safe country” and a “less dangerous place” for tourism.

Nevertheless, inequality is still present.

The rural communities we work with still face poverty, exclusion and are the last ones to be considered if a profit can be made.

Our network still believes in the organizing efforts of our partner, CRIPDES. We still believe in unity.

We stood alongside our brothers and sisters in El Salvador when they did not even have access to medicine.

We facilitated the develop of other sistering relationships

We analyzed different strategies in changing times.

But we still need more…

because there is still work to be done.

People are fleeing this country because of insecurity, forced displacement, discrimination, lack of opportunities and unemployment.

We still need you to help us support CRIPDES organizing efforts.

We still need you to spread the word about what is going on in El Salvador.

We still want you to join us. Contact us. You can make a difference.
