On October 27th, CCR held their assembly in which they presented their strategic plan for 2018 – 2022. CCR’s current president, Rubia Guardado, stated that this was a result of an analysis in which many people were involved. One of the key aspects they discovered is that people want them to work closer with youth and to better inform the work they are actually doing. Hence, the following areas in which they will be focusing in the upcoming five years:

AREA: WOMEN

Strengthening women’s organization
Capacity building
Take actions to defend women’s rights and more political participation.

Promoting food sovereignty and security.
AREA: HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
Strategic Lines:
Support the organization of health promoters and community health committees.
Promoting the defense of natural resources and contribute to better access and quality control of water.
Education and sickness prevention.
AREA: YOUTH
Strategic Lines:
Strengthen leadership and organization of youth.
Strengthen youth participation and advocacy.
Promoting recreational, educational and cultural initiatives in order to prevent violence.
AREA: INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING

Planning and evaluation
Relationships and resources management
Communicating the organizational work.
