Nayib Bukele had stated his plans to veto this measure..

The State of Emergency decree expired last night. If Bukele had vetoed such project, there would not have been an applicable law today. Such is the reason congresspeople are giving today after they only decided to extend the applicability of the original decree.
This is different than the State of Exception decree which expired on April 13th.
