On May 6th, Clare Norelle will join Ian Davies and Marc Rosenthal’s COR II class on El Salvador.

Marc and Ian in San Francisco Echeverria (El Salvador)

Clare Norelle is a bilingual yoga teacher who offers Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), an evidence-based adjunct treatment for complex trauma, to Medicaid clients in Dane County. She is also helping to develop the El Salvador Mental Health Project in Madison’s sister city of Arcatao, as part of a team led by Dr. David Rosenthal of UW Madison. David Rosenthal will also be present to give an update on the work in El Salvador.

In this presentation Clare will discuss the physiological aspects of complex relational trauma, and the ways that TCTSY and other body-centered therapies address common symptoms of trauma. She will also talk about her first trip to Arcatao in January 2019, her collaboration with Salvadoran psychologist Rosy Manzano in leading four yoga and movement workshops there, and their ongoing plans for the project.

Don’t forget!
Monday May 6th, 6.00-8.00 pm in Predolin 118.
