32 new cases of COVID19 in El Salvador

The results of the coronavirus tests have shown an increase of 44% in the last four days, according to data published by the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele.

In a new update, on the night of Tuesday, April 28, the president revealed 32 new cases of coronavirus, reaching 377 confirmed cases. Last Friday the infections were 261. In four days the country has had 116 new infections detected by the authorities of the Ministry of Health.

According to the president, the new infections are all local (people had not returned from other countries), five correspond to the capital city, four new ones in Ilopango and San Martín, Ciudad Delgado, Mejicanos, Panchimalco, Soyapango and Ayutuxtepeque register a new case, respectively.

 

The president also reported two new infections in the municipality of Cojutepeque, one in Villa El Carmen, and one more in Santa Cruz Michapa, all three from the department of Cuscatlán. A case was also registered in Santa Tecla, and another in San Juan Opico, La Libertad.

While in the north of the country, two cases were detected: one in Nueva Concepción and the other in Arcatao, both in Chalatenango.

The West registered cases in San Sebastián Salitrillo, El Congo, and Metapán, one each case, in the municipalities of the department of Santa Ana.

While in the Sonsonate department they were registered: one in Metalío and the other in Nahuizalco.

While in the east of the country three cases were reported: One in Yayantique, one in Yoloaiquín and the other in San Miguel.

The ninth victim of the coronavirus, a 48-year-old man with chronic kidney disease, was also registered on Tuesday. His family reported he did not receive dialysis at the hospital.
