Your donation to our on-going fundraiser has enabled the CCR team to help various communities in Chalatenango. Alongside the community boards with which they work, the CCR identified the most vulnerable people who have now received a hygiene and food kit.
In San José Las Flores, help was given after 86 days of quarantine had passed and people had not been able to go out to work.
The other benefited communities were:
- Surrounding communities of Arcatao
- Los Ranchos
- Guarjila
- Nueva Trinidad
- San Francisco Morazán – They are delivering today to Tremedal, Teosinte and Higueral
In total, Sister Cities supported CCR with 280 kits for 140 families. See more photos here.
The Salvadoran economy reopened last Tuesday after a long fight between the legislative assembly and the president. The number of COVID cases is expected to increase as people go to the streets. Most Salvadorans live on the informal economy and cannot afford to stay at home any longer.
Thank you for all the marvelous work you are doing helping Salvadoran families.
Thank you 🙂
