February 26th to March 2nd

(Optional Beach day March 3rd!)

From CRIPDES President Marcos Galvez:

“Good governance requires genuine democratic elections, to express the sovereignty and will of the Salvadoran people, which arises from the free expression of those who form the basis of the authority and legitimacy of any new government.

The right of persons to exercise their vote is an internationally recognized right and the upcoming elections must be guaranteed a democratic environment in compliance with existing regulations. These elections serve as a peaceful solution to the competition for political power in El Salvador. They are fundamental to the maintenance and  strengthening of peace and stability in the country.

El Salvador is a country with a young democracy, product of the Peace Accords signed in 1992. In the past we have had a tradition of rigged elections and coups, so it is important that the international community continue to accompany us by observing  elections with the aims of strengthening democracy, transparent elections and that the will of the people expressed at the ballot box is respected.”
