Coercive Elections Advertisements by Fuerza Solidaria, December 12th 2008
The dirty campaign in El Salvador is worsening. Radio and television ads under the name ¨Fuerza Solidaria¨ have been manipulating statements from US officials such as Barack Obama´s advisor Dan Restrepo, as part of a fear campaign to convince people not to vote for the FMLN. The Fuerza Solidaria has also made ads saying that immigration status and the wellbeing of immigrants will be threatened if Funes wins, in direct contradiction in statements of the US ambassador. Below are the links and translations of two Fuerza Solidaria advertisements.

Narrator: He will be the new president of the US

Narrator: But he is the advisor of the same president, and he thinks exactly the contrary.
Dan Restrepo speaking: Senator Obama is very worried about the Anti-American agenda, and the failed politics of Hugo Chavez. Be it in Venezuela, or his desire to intervene in the countries in the region, in El Salvador, or other areas. You have to look at what is happening in Venezuela today, the increase in crime in Caracas, the problems with food.
