We would like to congratulate the National Table Against Mineral Mining In El Salvador, a coalition of Salvadoran social organizations, religious, environmental and investigative groups, who received the Letelier-Moffitt Human Rights Award on October 15th, 2009.

Five representatives from the National Table, including Bernardo Belloso from CRIPDES, received the award in Washington DC. The award was presented by Congressman Michael Michaud, who is an ally of Sister Cities and a leader in legislative work calling for revisions of the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA).
