40th Anniversary of CRIPDES

Last Saturday CRIPDES celebrated its 19th annual assembly, in which they celebrated 40 years of community work. The assembly was attended by the different members, representatives of the regional offices and special guests, including US- El Salvador Sister Cities.
During the assembly, the work that has been done during the last year was celebrated, presenting the programs that have been implemented, the progress made and the challenges that the organization is facing. A reality analysis was presented by Tutela Legal Dr. María Julia Hernández, in which the importance of international support was emphasized, and thanks to documentation and community organization, international criticism of the current Salvadoran context has been achieved.
CRIPDES extended its gratitude for the support during the last 40 years of community work: “It is thanks to this support that we have been able to strengthen drinking water systems; generate economic and food sovereignty for women; strengthen the knowledge of new generations, defend the territory and the environment; strengthen our institutions and citizen participation; promote gender equity and maintain our commitment to social justice.” (CRIPDES Communications, 2024)

40 ANIVERSARIO DE CRIPDES
El sábado pasado CRIPDES celebró su asamblea número 19 anual, en la cual celebraron 40 años de labor comunitaria. La asamblea contó con la participación de los diferentes socios, representantes de las regionales e invitados especiales incluido Ciudades Hermanas.
Durante la asamblea se celebró la labor que se ha hecho durante el último año, presentando los programas que se han implementado, los avances y los desafíos que la organización tiene. Se presentó un análisis de realidad por parte de Tutela Legal Dra. María Julia Hernández, en el cual se enfatizó la importancia del apoyo internacional y el agradecimiento del apoyo, el cual es gracias a la documentación y la organización comunitaria que se ha logrado la crítica internacional del contexto actual salvadoreño.
CRIPDES extendió un agradecimiento al apoyo durante los últimos 40 años de labor comunitaria: “Es gracias a ese apoyo que hemos logrado fortalecer sistemas de agua potable; generar soberanía económica y alimentaria para las mujeres; fortalecer el conocimiento de las nuevas generaciones, defender el territorio y medio ambiente; robustecer nuestra institucionalidad y participación ciudadana; impulsar la equidad de género y mantener nuestra compromiso con justicia social.” (Comunicaciones CRIPDES, 2024)
