Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association is sistered with the Association of Communities for the Development of Chalatenango (CCR), and the Foundation for Cooperation and Development (CORDES). These organizations foster a unique relationship, exchanging information and methods of farming, in addition to facilitating conversations about agricultural globalization and fair trade.

In the past, MOFGA strongly advocated against the presence of US mining companies that have threatened the Chalatenango region, standing in solidarity with CCR and CORDES in their fight to protect their land and natural resources. MOFGA continues to invest in various programs that support CCR in Chalatenango.
