Education

Our Educational Approach

We believe education is key to raise awareness and understand social inequities. One of the ways our committees support their Salvadoran sistered communities is through the CRIPDES youth scholarship program. These scholarships provide over 70 students from different regions financial support to help cover transportation, supplies, and/or tuition.

We support highschol students in San Vicente, and university students in La Libertad (through CRIPDES SUR), Suchitoto (through PROGRESO) and Cinquera (through CRIPDES’ ally, ARDM).

In Chalatenango, Arlington provides scholarships to students from Teosinte (selected by the community board); while Bangor and Madison provide funds for the Human Development Program (DHP), run by the parish of Arcatao, through which they support students from Carasque and Arcatao, respectively.
